What I did as a ux/ui designer:
Redesigned a browser-based admin panel for restaurant managers from scratch, based on the existing visual language
Reworked the UX for key actions: managing photos, editing menus, replying to reviews, and viewing analytics
Added a stats dashboard to increase engagement with real-time views, calls, and user activity
Improved content update flow — simplified editing and added content health indicators
Built a design system and delivered final UI with documentation for dev handoff
Team: Internal Restoran.kz team
Timeline: December 22 — January 23
Started with wireframing to define core scenarios
At the beginning of the project, I focused on building detailed wireframes. This allowed the team to validate the interface structure, clarify user flows, and quickly iterate on the logic behind key actions. By working through scenarios early, we identified weak spots and prioritized the most valuable features.
The prototypes helped us focus on improving the flows and optimizing interactions.

Key insights at a glance
We redesigned the main dashboard to highlight the most important guest activity — calls, reviews, photo views — and help restaurant managers act quickly. We also added a reminder card prompting managers to confirm and update business information every 3 months, ensuring data stays relevant.
Guest Reviews & Feedback
We introduced a full-featured reviews section, allowing restaurant managers to read, manage, and respond to guest feedback in real time. New reviews are highlighted for quick attention, and replying is streamlined to encourage two-way communication. This helps businesses build trust and improve their reputation directly within the platform.
Restaurant Photo Gallery
Photos play a crucial role in guest decision-making. We introduced the gallery to motivate managers to showcase their space and dishes — because listings with visuals receive significantly more attention and up to 3x more bookings.
Promotion & visibility boost
We gave managers full control over their menu, letting them add and update dishes in real time. To help restaurants get noticed, we introduced the “Boost to Top” feature — venues that appear at the top of search results receive up to 4x more bookings, making this feature a high-impact tool for increasing visibility and revenue.
Results & Impact
The redesigned manager panel boosted engagement and simplified content management. At the client’s request, we adapted the interface for mobile use with a bottom bar, making it easier to scale into a future app. This reduced support load and sped up updates.
