As a product designer, I led the redesign of the seller dashboard — from UX research and hypothesis validation to user interviews, onboarding flow, and full service redesign.
Team: German Dobrynin, Glen Kacai, Islambek Chynybekov, Dilyara Tulegenova
Timeline: February — October 2024
Interviewed 10 active sellers from different categories
All of them regularly used the seller dashboard to manage orders, products, and delivery. This helped identify key pain points and priorities for the redesign. Below — direct quotes from respondents:
Started with Orders — that’s where sellers go most often
The old table was criticized for clutter and confusion. I simplified the navigation, separated statuses, added filters, and made new orders the primary focus. The table became more compact and readable, and I added an export option.
The order screen is focused on the main scenario — checking and accepting orders.
On mobile, tables were replaced with order cards
A single entry point for adding, linking, and creating products
In the previous version, there were separate screens for import, creation, and linking, plus duplicate tables. I brought everything together into a single entry point and split flows by consistent user scenarios.
Stock updates are now part of the product card interface
If the product already exists on the marketplace, we automatically suggest linking
Mobile-first adaptation
The mobile version is optimized for on-the-go tasks — order handling, stock updates, and status changes.
Over 70% of sellers use it via phone, completing tasks in just 20 seconds.
Scalable design system and seller onboarding flow
I built a unified design system used across the seller’s dashboard and other B2B tools.
Alongside that, we designed a fully self-service onboarding experience — from landing page to contract in a few minutes, without support.
Built a product landing page from scratch: defined structure, features, and tailored content for sellers.
Focused on marketplace value: showed benefits, terms, and mechanics in a clear, modular layout.
